Hey there, crochet friends!
I recently added a sweet and simple detail to one of my crochet caps — a surface crochet flower in soft pink, topped with a delicate white bead at the center. It’s amazing how a small addition can instantly elevate a project, and I’m so excited to share this with you!

🌼 Why I Love Surface Crochet Flowers
Surface crochet is one of my favorite techniques when I want to add texture and dimension to my projects without sewing. It’s neat, elegant, and really satisfying to watch it come together. For this flower, I used a lovely pink yarn that stands out beautifully against the cap, and the bead in the center adds just the right amount of sparkle.
This project is perfect for:
- Giving a plain crochet cap a fresh, feminine upgrade
- Personalizing gifts for loved ones
- Using up small yarn scraps creatively
- Adding embellishments without fuss
✨ Materials I Used:
- Pink acrylic yarn (medium weight)
- A white bead for the flower center
- 5mm crochet hook (for the base cap)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
- Your creativity! 🌈
💡 Tips for Success:
- Keep your tension loose when doing surface crochet so your design doesn’t pucker.
- Stitch slowly around curves for a smoother look.
- You can use buttons, sequins, or pearls instead of beads if you like!
I’d love to know how you would style your own crochet flower — maybe on a bag, a headband, or even a scarf? 🌺 Let me know in the comments of the video!
