Crochet means hook. A hook and yarn can make fabric! That is the wonderful part of crocheting. I got hooked on the craft of crocheting so many years before. I had no idea what crochet was. I happened to see a lady showing her work to another lady in my neighbourhood. Then I wanted to learn. My neighbour was kind enough to teach me. I moved to another country. The love for crochet never faded. It came to me in surprising ways! The first time crochet poked me as a magazine at my husband’s friend’s home. I was lucky to borrow that magazine.
From that magazine, I learned there are names for the stitches. There are patterns you can follow! Then, the computer and internet era began. A ton of free information out there to teach you how to crochet.
With one hook and a ball of yarn, a wonderful world was opened to me. Have I ever thought about having a blog, a shop, and making a video, all related to crochet? Never!!!! But, it all happened. I made a crochet video, to show how to make a single crochet. It is simple. But, hopefully, someone out there might see it and get some ideas to start a crochet journey. That is my hope.
