Corner to Corner crochet
Welcome to the world of crochet! Today, we’re diving into one of the most versatile and visually appealing techniques in crochet: Corner-to-Corner (C2C) crochet. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to expand your crochet skills, C2C is a fun and rewarding learning method. In this guide, I’ll walk you through the basics and get you started on your first C2C project.
What is C2C crochet?
Corner-to-Corner crochet, or C2C, is a technique where you start crocheting from one corner of your project and work your way diagonally to the opposite corner. This method creates a beautiful diagonal pattern perfect for blankets, scarves, and decorative pieces like cushion covers.
Why Choose C2C?
Versatility: You can create several projects with C2C, from small squares to large blankets.
Texture: The diagonal pattern adds a unique texture and visual appeal.
Customization: Easily incorporate designs and images using graph patterns.
Starting C2C crochet
For this project, I like to use medium weight yarn and 5mm hook.
Let us make 6 chains.

Make a double crochet on 4th chain from hook and then make two more in the next two chains

make 6 more chains

Again make double crochets as before.

make a slip stitch to join to the first block, to the chain 3 loop in the beginning.

Now we make 2 blocks.

Make another chain 3 and 3 more double crochet in the chain 3 loop. Repeat with chain 6 , followed by 3 double crochet stitches as before. continue diagonally, and make the size you need.

When you are ready to decrease to start finishing the square, Just remember not to make any more chain 6 at the ends. Instead, slip stitch to the working block and continue the work.
i have a you tube video to show you how to do it.
